Our Story

Trade Winds played a huge part in the 1980's featuring showcases of live music shows on their patio area. Thousands would show up for all weekend events with some of the best bands in the area. Then, in 1990, they closed their doors, at least for the foreseeable future.

It sat empty for years, basically a storage place for the connected Knights Action Park next door until 2015. That's when owner Doug Knight wanted to create a place that served great food for lunch and dinner specializing in huge portions and featuring the now famous hand cut french fries. There wasn't a lot of hoopla and to this day remains one of Springfield's best kept secrets.
